His Love Never Fails

Jesus pursues us right where we are, just as we are. In the same way, we strive to follow Christ’s example to love and pursue students. Sydney* got connected last year to Campus Life at Manteno High School. She quickly jumped all in and attended both Spring Break and Summer Camp with Campus Life. Her energy, vigor, and joy were contagious to all those around her.

Even her guardian started to notice a difference. They said, "Once she started connecting with Campus Life, everything started looking up for her. Grades, friendships, work...everything!"

Unfortunately, earlier this year Sydney started to taper off in attendance and involvement in Campus Life.

Sydney's guardian reached out to meet with her Campus Life Director. Over the two-hour meeting filled with tears and prayers, we learned that Sydney was wrestling with serious depression and isolating herself from those who cared most about her.

One of our young adult volunteers reached out to Sydney and took the time to meet her. The very next week, Sydney was back at Campus Life and the following Sunday, she was back at church. Her head is lifted high and the energy, vigor, and joy is being restored. One day at a time.

All of this because we serve a God who never stops pursuing us right where we are at and empowers his people to do the same. 

Psalm 3:3 "But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the one who lifts my head high."
